Meet Jade!

Meet Jade, a vibrant and friendly plant with deep roots in the community who loves helping others grow!

I’m the Jade Centre’s mascot! I am so happy to help empower and educate the community. Knowing that I’m part of something so meaningful, and helping people build a brighter future together, truly makes my leaves shine!

Meet the Artist!

Meet Sam Moore. He was raised in New Brunswick, and he has always had a passion for creating art for as long as he can remember.

“I was so excited when the Jade Centre reached out asking to help design their mascot, who we call our ‘Little Jade friend,’ because it gave me the chance to be a part of the important work that they do while also doing what I love most. To see my Jade plant design out in the community making a difference means the world to me!"

The Jade Centre (formerly the South East Sexual Assault Centre) would like to acknowledge that the land on which we operate our services is the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) titles and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
